that I wasn’t here the last two days! We took a quick family trip but now I am back! Update tomorrow!
I got up today and had a cup of coffee and an apple. Then, I got ready for the day and read for a little bit outside, trying to get some sun. For lunch, I had a piece of multigrain toast with half an avocado and a poached egg. Dinner was a pita with hummus and tabouli. And finally, you can congratulate me for getting off my ass because I went for a bike ride today. Yeah, I did. It was only 3 miles and I was gone for about 20 minutes so not that long but I came home sweaty and gross and that is all that matters!
trying to decide what the best exercise is to lose weight. Some people say running…others say walking is just as effective…I’ve heard swimming…biking…everything. But truly the best workout is the one you’re actually going to do. So, now the dilemma is what do I actually feel capable of doing consistently…
Tomorrow begins the regular posts again since I just got home! It was a nice couple of days with my best friends from schooool. We did some shopping and concert-going. BUT now it is full-speed ahead with this. No more of this sitting on my ass stuff!
Would you like to know what I ate today? I woke up late(again.) and had my shakeology with peanut butter and then did some crafty things all day. For dinner, we had grilled fish tacos with cabbage and salsa. I’ve been feeling really badly about not running…and I promise I will start but I’m heading to stay with friends for a couple of days so you won’t hear from me until then!
At the end of last summer, I was into the 170s, around 176-178ish and I started off this summer a bit above that. The past few weeks of being home and eating like a normal person have me at a steady 180. I haven’t been running or anything…I haven’t really been doing much. I’ve thought a lot about it…obsessed you could call it…but I haven’t really done anything. I do some yoga once a week but that’s nothing. I can’t expect to see results if I don’t and I know all of this…so I don’t know why I just sit around all the time and mope about how unhappy I am with myself. Bleh. Well, now that whole feelings shit is out of the way- Today, I got up and hurriedly got ready to take an application to the mall and pick up a few things. After, we got Panera and I had tomato soup and salad. I got some sun and reintroduced myself to the trampoline for a while. We had Jimmy Johns for dinner and I had a turkey sub. My sister managed to convince me to take a walk which was nice but…I feel like the only reason I saw results last summer was because I was running but I just find myself with absolutely no energy and no motivation. I don’t know what’s wrong with me.
but I woke up and had shakeology with peanut butter. For lunch, I had cantaloupe, strawberries and blueberries, a slice of quiche, and pita chips that were leftover from the brunch my mom and her friends had. I did yoga and actually felt really strong. I think I’m improving. For dinner, I had more fruit and a casserole made from layers of potatoes, kale, and feta cheese.
I got up this morning and had shakeology and then did that workout video that I posted last week. I had some multigrain pita chips and hummus in the afternoon and some coffee later. Dinner was a cold summery pasta salad with crab.
I just had brunch with my mom, dad, and sister that I whipped up: bacon and mushroom quiche for the meateaters(me and Dad) and crab and asparagus quiche for the pescetarians(Mom and Sis) with some sweet potato home fries. And now I’m going to spend the rest of the day with my extended fam eating way too much!
Oops. Sometimes I skip days because I don’t think about this…but I doubt anyone notices so… Today, I got up and toasted two pieces of wholewheat organic bread and made an almond butter and banana sandwich. For lunch, I had a wrap with hummus and tabbouli. I spent the night hanging out with my sister and baking cookies and making quiche for tomorrow…and eating pizza. OOPS.
